#1 - Muhammad Ali
One of the most celebrated and significant athletes of the 20th century, Muhammad Ali is considered the greatest boxer of all time. He won his first heavyweight championship at the age of 22, and remains the only three-time lineal champion of the heavyweight division. Outside of the ring, his refusal to be drafted by the U.S military, citing religious beliefs, made him an icon to the larger counterculture community. He would also go on to find success as a musician, actor and writer. Without question, he was THE MAN.
